What is the Sleepy Scale?
We rate discs using the Sleepy Scale. The Sleepy Scale is used to determine the quality and condition of disc golf discs. This rating system is widely accepted by most disc buyers and sellers. We will do our best to grade discs accurately. We only sell discs that are rated (6/10) or better.
Sleepy Scale Disc Ratings
9/10 = Field tested. Very minimal wear. No ink.
8/10 = Lightly used. Minimal wear. May have ink.
7/10 = Used with minor wear but in good shape.
6/10 = Typical used disc with usual dings, scratches, but still worthy.
Complete Sleepy Scale:
10 – Never thrown, no ink, brand new condition.
9 – Field tested or used for one or two rounds, many use this for storage wear as well.
8 – Lightly used with very minimal wear.
7 – Used with some minor dings or scuffs but still in good shape.
6 – Typical used disc with the usual dings, scratches but still worthy.
5 – Kinda beat, significant wear, has lost a good bit of it’s stability.
4 – Beat up turnover disc with some evident war story wear.
3 – or under- Very beat up, dog chew toy.
